In light of the most recent government restrictions, our planned LDA Open Events will not take place in person at school. All Open Events will take place virtually.
Lord Derby Academy is responsible for its own admissions and has chosen to adopt the joint Knowsley Admissions policy for 2020.
Closing date for applications: 31st October 2020
All unsuccessful applicants will have the right to appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel in accordance with the Education Act 1993.
Parents who have been unsuccessful in their application for a place at Lord Derby Academy for Year 7 entry must indicate their wish to appeal and can obtain a form online or directly from Student Services at the Academy.
All appeals must be lodged no later than 31st March 2021.
Appeals lodged will be heard during the month of June 2021.
All appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing.
All appellants will be sent a copy of the school’s case a reasonable time before the date of the hearing.
