Lord Derby Academy are proud to be taking part in the Liverpool Counts Quality Mark for Numeracy programme.
The aims of the quality mark are:
During Key Stage 3, pupils follow a bespoke curriculum which is designed to ensure fluency in all aspects of Numeracy while also developing problem solving skills. The curriculum is designed to allow pupils to investigate how Numeracy is linked to real-life concepts.
During Key Stage 4, pupils are encouraged to build on the problem solving skills they have developed in Key Stage 3. The programme of study for Extra Maths at Key Stage 4 has been developed to allow pupils to build links between the different areas of the Mathematics curriculum.
