Every pupil to be confident with their mathematics to prepare them for the challenges of the twenty-first century.

Mathematics Curriculum

Edexcel GCSE Mathematics

Our curriculum is designed to ensure that all pupils become fluent in the fundamentals of Mathematics. Lessons are delivered to secure a deep understanding of all concepts to facilitate the transfer of skills from fluency to reasoning, analysing and problem solving. The curriculum is designed to promote curiosity and engagement through relevance and investigation with current and real-life concepts. Furthermore, we inspire an interest in fundamental British values of democracy alongside cross curricular links with Mathematics.

In addition to skills and understandings developed across KS3, there will be an increased level of application, problem solving and reasoning in addition to the fluency of the mathematical skills needed.
